We all have the experience to sense a problem, a need, or an injustice and feel the urge to step out and initiate a change. In most cases, we need help from others. In old times, individuals with most horses (wealth) and guns (military force) become leaders automatically. They usually also come with formal titles and authority to command followers’ attention and respect. In modern world, what if we have no or little wealth to hire followers, and own no official titles to command people?

In this workshop, I will introduce a special kind of leadership role that you and me should all master to generate our desirable impact: service leadership. Good service leaders require a special set of skills and knowledge to attract a team and motivate members to achieve a worthy goal together. I will talk about the critical factors that enable ordinary people to transform into effective service leaders, who better our world in profound ways.
